Bear Aware

Quick story.....
This morning we decided to go on a short walk which turned into a long walk. We left from our house and walked to the Fox Creak Quarry which is almost two miles up hill. I was dragging my butt! I wanted to turn around soooooo bad but I made myself keep going. We were almost there when out of nowhere Brett froze. Just down the road stood a bear, staring back at us! We were completely unprepared. My bear mase, cell phone and anything else you would need was home. Luckily we had Tank (our rottweiler). We really had no choice but to turn and run. We made it out of there, thank goodness!
I don't think I will be going on a hike anytime soon!
